Haumann Technology at PTXPO 2026 — What We Showcased at Booth #541 and What It Means for U.S. Manufacturing

PTXPO 2026 brought the plastics and manufacturing industry together at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, from March 17–19. For Haumann Technology, this was more than an exhibition. It was a direct conversation with the engineers, procurement teams, and OEM leaders shaping the next generation of plastic component programs in the United States.

We exhibited at Booth #541. Over three days, our team connected with hundreds of industry professionals, demonstrated our manufacturing capabilities, and listened to what U.S.-based OEM teams are looking for in a manufacturing partner today.

Here is what we presented, what we learned, and what it means for companies evaluating injection molding and tooling partners in 2026.

What Haumann Presented at PTXPO 2026

At Booth #541, our team — led by Founder Martin Aicher and Sales Director Aleesha Gao — focused on three core capability areas. These areas reflect where industry demands are heading right now.

Precision Injection Molding

We showcased production-ready injection-molded components across multiple industries. These included automotive structural parts, industrial housings, and consumer electronics enclosures. Additionally, every part on display came from our German-engineered tooling platform, with documented dimensional inspection and first article validation.

The conversations at the booth confirmed one key truth: OEM teams are not simply looking for the lowest cycle time. Instead, they are looking for repeatability — the ability to produce part 50,000 at the same specification as part one.

High-Quality Tooling Solutions

Tooling generated the most discussion at our booth. In particular, U.S. manufacturers are increasingly concerned about tooling ownership, mold longevity, and supplier accountability. We addressed these concerns directly.

Haumann builds its tooling platform on German engineering standards. Our offering includes multi-cavity capability, insert and overmold tooling, and full mold maintenance and refurbishment services. Furthermore, we offer rapid prototype tooling programs with delivery in approximately 15 days after DFM approval — a timeline that continues to differentiate us for programs under schedule pressure.

Advanced CNC Machining Capabilities

We also highlighted our CNC machining capabilities: these support tooling components, production fixtures, and precision inserts. As a result, OEM programs that require tight-tolerance machined interfaces alongside injection molded components no longer need to manage a separate supplier. Our integrated approach eliminates the handoff that typically introduces risk and delay.

What the Industry Is Talking About in 2026

Events like PTXPO are valuable not just for what you show, but for what you hear. After three days of conversations with engineers, procurement managers, and manufacturing leaders, several themes came through clearly.

Supply chain resilience is still the top priority. The shift toward U.S.-based or U.S.-supported manufacturing has not slowed down. Companies want a partner with a domestic engineering presence and clear accountability. Our Houston-based engineering team and dual U.S.–China production model spoke directly to this need.

DFM involvement is expected earlier than ever. The teams we spoke with now involve their manufacturing partners at the design stage — not just at the RFQ stage. This is exactly how Haumann operates. Our DFM-first approach is built into the beginning of every program, not added on as an afterthought.

Certification requirements are tightening. IATF 16949 certification came up repeatedly in automotive conversations. OEM teams are under pressure from their own customers to qualify only certified suppliers. They need documentation to match. Our certified quality systems — CMM inspection, 3D scanning, and FAI reporting — are built specifically for this environment.

Integrated manufacturing reduces program risk. Multiple visitors mentioned supplier consolidation as a goal. They want fewer handoffs, fewer points of failure, and fewer timelines to manage. Consequently, our end-to-end model — from DFM through tooling, molding, CNC, and assembly — continues to resonate strongly with U.S. OEM teams.

Why PTXPO Matters for U.S. OEM Manufacturing

PTXPO is one of the most important events in the U.S. plastics and manufacturing calendar. It brings together the full supply chain — resin suppliers, equipment manufacturers, toolmakers, molders, and OEM engineers — in one place.

For Haumann, attending PTXPO is part of a broader commitment to being present in the U.S. market in a meaningful way. Our Houston office is not a sales outpost. It is an engineering and program management hub. Therefore, the conversations we have at events like PTXPO are the same conversations we continue in Houston offices, on engineering calls, and in DFM review meetings.

We return to PTXPO because it works—the partnerships we build at events like this turn into long-term production programs. Moreover, the engineers who stopped by Booth #541 this year are already planning their next sourcing decisions. We want to be part of that conversation early — not after the tooling budget is already committed.

What Happened After the Show

Following PTXPO 2026, our team returned to Houston with a clear set of follow-up conversations in progress. If you visited our booth or connected with us during the show, we are actively working through those conversations and will be in contact shortly.

However, if you did not make it to PTXPO this year, you have not missed your opportunity. The same capabilities we showcased at Booth #541 are available for review through a DFM consultation — no show floor required.
